Google Nexus S Phone by Samsung features Android 2.3 “Gingerbread” operating system

Google has announced the new Nexus S phone, which is manufactured by Samsung and based on the popular Samsung Galaxy S smartphone. The Nexus S will have some cool features when it's released on December 16th, including the latest Android 2.3 “Gingerbread” operating system, a front facing VGA camera and rear facing 5 megapixel camera with a flash, a 4” Super AMOLED 480×800 touchscreen Contour Display, a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, 16GB of internal memory, Google Mobile services, and near field communication (NFC) short-range wireless technology. The Nexus S can read NFC tags on objects like movie posters, stickers and t-shirts, and provide information on the item right on the phone.
Google also announced that over 200,000 Android devices are activated worldwide everyday, and that developers can now get their hands on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread SDK/NDK. Android 2.3 is said to also offer user interface refinements, a new keyboard and text selection tool, Internet (VoIP/SIP) calling, improved copy/paste functionality and gyroscope sensor support.
