Adam Parks hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the first to power
St. Michaels to a 4-0 victory over Harford Tech in Tuesday's Class 1A state semifinal at McCurdy Field in Frederick.Parks' homer to left came after two errors by the Harford Tech defense. Pitcher Kyle McKelvey threw a shutout for the Cougars, allowing only three hits and striking out five.Despite the first-inning trouble, Harford Tech's Kenny West pitched a complete game for the Cobras. The senior gave up only one earned run and three hits.
