Facebook unveils sweeping user privacy control changes
In the face of rising user discontent, Facebook rolled out a series of sweeping changes to its privacy settings on Wednesday in an effort to give users more control over the information they share on the world’s largest social network.
During an afternoon conference call with reporters, Facebook founder and chief executive Mark Zuckerberg revealed the changes to the site’s user policies which are designed to simplify Facebook’s privacy policies while quelling rising opposition to the site’s recent changes to its security settings.
