Wang becomes first NFL pick of full Chinese descent
WASHINGTON, May 27 (Xinhua) -- America-born-Chinese Ed Wang came out the first player of full Chinese descent to be selected in the NFL draft after signing with the Buffalo Bills on Thursday.
Attending Virginia Tech University, the offensive lineman, the 140th overall selection in the draft last month, was picked by the Bills in the fifth round.
His parents are former Chinese Olympic athletes and emigrated from China to the United States in the 1980s.
